Today, I had a class with Dr. Abell, a RC professor who is absolutely passionate about economy and environment. The class was about the sustainability of an economic development. After reading the Introduction of "Beyond Growth" by  Daly, I have been swimming in the sea of thoughts, all about the sustainable development.

Our Accounting class had an exam on Monday, and we are getting the grades today, on Wednesday. Since I have done Accounting once before, I know the general idea of what is going on in the class. However, I am not as studious as I should be (as an Asian student). I read the textbook the day before the test just because I need to read it. For sure, I will lose a lot of points if I don't read the textbook, and I am so not going to let it happen.

Come to think about it! I have been here in the United States for more than a year. The story of my arriving to US was so simple. I didn't want to attend Institute of Medicine in my country. I know that a doctor is a noble and prestigious job. There is only one big problem. I was not interested in medical field. Simply, I wanted to be a businesswoman. I liked to picture myself in a suit and heels (although I have never worn heels yet), walking around the office, supervising the employees. I just loved that ME, which I pictured again and again while daydreaming.

Life is too short... just too short that... one meets another and then... departs... seriously, those times are really short if you try to recall them... But... if you don't want those memories to be full of scars ... you will have to watch your words when communicating with each other... I don't mean that you should not criticize each other... you can... but when you do that... think carefully... your position ... your purpose ... the effects ... and the meaning ... (if your words mean as you wanted them to be...) If you have really thought of these... and said your words.... it doesn't matter much if you hurt others.... but WHAT IF they were unintentional ??? You just can't go back... your words have already hurt other people... and the other party has started to dislike you ... or avoi d you...
